Volume
Volume specifically applies to 3-dimensional spaces filled up, rather than
any illusion of 'volume" or "space" in the case of 2-dimensional arts; eg,
drawing, painting, collage.
Thus, volume applies to sculpture, assemblages, and of course installations.
In theory, one could install a pure-ly 2-dimensional piece; see for example,
the excellent work of Missy Desmond.
