Perception

Some intriguing ways that we "perceive" 2d objects
as 3d, etc.



In "A", we see a somewhat ascance view of a cube
as it is commonly drawn with the hidden lines
opaquely hidden. 

If i tilt it sligly "B", then it now starts
to appear to be a flat hexagon with lines in
the middle. Note that i've drawn it so that
the "off to the distance" axis in "A" now 
makes it almost clearly look like a rectangular
solid rather then a cube. If i then shorten
the vertical lines "C", then it begins to
look like a flattened hexagon. 

Hmmm ... tie this to both Arnheim and
Kandinsky and then of course back to both
Ad Rhinehardt and Kasimir Malevich,....

Affordances in learning theory... hmmm
